When Alice began to feel very badly last year, I thought that would recover quickly. After each illness, she quickly got up from the bed and ran like never before. This time, however, it was getting worse and worse each week. Even if she had a few good days, then the illness hit even harder. Doctors could not find a cause, some suggested fatigue and stress. But I know my wife like no other and I know she is cheerful, strong, full of energy. If she had some stress, which I can not cope with, I would certainly notice it, and secondly, in our marriage, we share everything and support each other. We are always the best therapy for ourselves. That’s why I did not believe that overwork or any problems are behind it.
Once I heard the most absurd thing from one of the doctors. He told Alicia that being so empathetic to others, she got sick. In his opinion, she was supposed to learn to get angry and learn to be selfish. Sure, Alicia.
Alicia, like her mother, does not explode with anger. Although she is full of energy, she has a gentle nature in conflicts. It’s something I’ve worked on and I think that’s why so many people cling to it. We do not have brawls and big quarrels at home. We argue sometimes, but we do not insult.
I know that she advised many friends and helped with domestic problems. Has a good effect on people with depression. But she’s not sick of it. She just has that calling. To serve people. I had to accept it as a husband. Adapt to her social mission, that she loves people so much. But is not that the meaning of life?
